FILAMENTCASTER - FREE TEST-FIT PACK
===================================

Print these small pieces before you commit to the full body print.
They are cut straight from the real body files, so if they fit, the body will fit.
Together they use roughly 200 g of filament and a few hours of print time (Bambu Studio shows the
exact figures once you slice). You can also print just the pieces you're unsure about.
Print them in the same filament and slicer profile you will use for the body.

WHAT'S IN HERE
--------------
Filamentcaster_test_fit_X1C.3mf Bambu Studio project, all pieces on one 256 x 256 mm build plate,
print settings already set per piece. Just choose your filament and slice.
TF1_neck_pocket.stl Neck pocket with the 4 neck bolt holes.
Check: the Harley Benton neck heel drops in snugly with no rocking,
and the neck plate bolt holes line up.
TF2_bridge_section.stl Bridge area with the 5 bridge screw holes and the bridge pickup route.
Check: sit the bridge plate on top, all 5 holes line up, and the
bridge pickup drops into the route.
TF3_control_slot.stl Control plate slot and its 2 screw holes.
Check: the control plate sits flush and the pots and switch clear the chamber.
TF4_joint_key_inserts.stl One bow-tie key pocket from the back of the body, with 2 insert holes.
Printed back-down, exactly like the body.
TF4_joint_key.stl One bow-tie joint key.
Each insert hole has a thin printed skin at the pocket floor (so the pocket
prints without supports) - the hot insert pushes straight through it.
                                  Check: heat-set 2 M4 inserts (6 x 8 mm). The key should press in
firmly by hand and the M4 x 10 screws should pull it flush.
TF5_magnet_body.stl A square of the recess floor with one magnet pocket.
TF5_magnet_plate.stl The matching square of a guitar plate with its magnet pocket.
Check: a 10 x 3 mm magnet presses in and sits flush or just below.
Remember to check the polarity before you glue the real ones.

IF SOMETHING IS TOO TIGHT OR TOO LOOSE
--------------------------------------
- Everything tight by the same amount: your printer is over-extruding or your filament runs wide.
Calibrate flow rate first. You can also set X-Y hole compensation to +0.05 to +0.1 mm in Bambu Studio.
- Joint key too tight at the bottom only: that is elephant's foot. Raise Elephant foot compensation
(Bambu Studio > Quality) to 0.15-0.2 mm.
- Everything loose: under-extrusion or wet filament. Dry the filament and recalibrate.
Re-print the piece that failed until it fits, then print the body with the same settings.

The pieces are designed and tested on a Bambu Lab X1C. Fit and print quality may vary by
machine, filament and calibration, which is exactly what this pack is for.
